Peaches by The Presidents of the United States of America
This is a classic song that mixes humor with the fondness of peaches. You might think that apple pie signifies country living, but The Presidents of the United States of America penned a song that brought peaches to the forefront forever. Moving to the country and eating a lot of peaches never sounded like a better idea. You can say what you want about this tune, but they don’t discriminate against peaches and are willing to eat them in any way possible from a can to on the farm. (spotify link)
While we’re on the subject of peaches, here are some lovely chaQula pictures from our wonderful users which show how much we love peaches.
So if you look up pancakes on Wikipedia, it’ll say
A pancake is a flat cake, often thin, and round, prepared from a starch-based batter and cooked on a hot surface such as a griddle or frying pan.
Seems pretty normal until you get to the whole pancakes should be round part. Fortunately someone forgot to inform Nathan Shields. His creations are a great little find. From pancakes made to look like Cephalopods to Zach Galifianakis pancakes, each of them are great. Make sure to check out his website and you won’t be bored. If you’re feeling generous visit his commissions page and donate $100 and get your own creation (plus the $100 goes for a good cause)

Garret Steider has created a fun and what seems to be a real time-consuming project he calls Typefruitography. Garret has managed to produce ever letter of the alphabet using fruits or almost all fruits (but close enough). He painstakingly carved out both upper and lower case letters and we love it. We picked out our favorite letters and do apologize for duplicating the A’s… but you can’t spell chaQula without two apples! (via bumbumbum)

Using melted sugar, some molding and some magic, Fernando creates a wonderful set of sugar glasses that has a life expectancy of approximately one drink. It’s a wonderfully creative idea and something that would be sure to be a hit for the young and old.
How great is food typography… especially when it’s with pancakes? These always come in handy particularly when you’re trying to impress your kids in the morning. This set of pancake font uses raisins as they “usually do in Holland.” (via Behance)
Vanessa Dualib is a female artist born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and has quite the knack in creating some egg-citing scenes. We stumbled across her collection and have really enjoyed her creativity. She has many galleries that she considers her personal projects but the project Eggventures of Eggbert is our favorite. Make sure to check out on her website, flickr gallery or on her facebook page.
We all know the saying “an apple a day keeps the doctor away.” This is a exciting and visually fun way to keep track of just that. A German based advertising company Serviceplan created this unique advertising for a health insurance company AOK. Such a fun idea that we could see in a family setting or even in your office.
